This messaging toolkit is a guide to support communication for Debt Free Justice and its advocates about our national campaign to abolish fees and fines in all 50 states.

Goals of this Toolkit

• Establish clear messaging about Debt Free Justice, its mission, and how to take action to support the campaign’s mission and goals. 
• Provide audience-based language that will enable anyone who supports Debt Free Justice to easily share our message.

Sharing a consistent message about Debt Free Justice and our work creates a foundation for the following to happen:

• Build trust between impacted individuals, advocates, the general public, and Debt Free Justice.
• Recruit more people and organizations to get involved with the campaign.
