Event: Ethical Reporting on the Experiences of Youth in the Legal System

(Washington, August 23) – In an endeavor to champion ethical storytelling and elevate the narratives of young people directly affected by the legal system, Debt Free Justice is hosting a media panel titled "Amplifying Voices: Ethical Reporting on the Experiences of Youth in the Legal System" on September 12, 2023. The panel will feature a distinguished group of journalists and advocates who will guide attendees toward a more sensitive and empathetic approach to storytelling. Following the panel, coordinators from Debt Free Justice will be available to address the press' questions regarding the current state of juvenile fees and fines in the United States. Media representatives, journalism students, and criminal justice advocates are encouraged to register for the live or virtual event.
